Wayne joined Kestrel Capital in 2007, bringing eight years experience in managing the finance and operations of private equity and infrastructure funds at Colonial First State.
At Colonial First State, Wayne was the CFO of the Private Equity division where he was responsible for a range of unlisted private equity and ASX-listed private equity/infrastructure funds.
Prior to private equity, Wayne held senior finance roles within the operational and corporate areas of the Australian National Industries Group, where he was Group Chief Accountant. At ANI, in addition to responsibility for accounting and financial functions, Wayne was involved in ongoing operational and strategic reviews of the group and its diverse operating segments, including heavy engineering, steel manufacture and distribution, foundry operations (now Bradken), mining equipment, services and consumables, manufacture of aeronautical, defence and rolling stock equipment, cleantech and water recycling equipment and industrial consumables.
Wayne's experience at ANI also extended to the treasury and taxation areas in addition to capital raisings, IPOs (Coates Hire), asset acquisitions (Palmer Tube Mills) and divestments, financial strategy and modeling.
